2) In the PCB Layout Help file click on the Contents tab, open +PCB Layout, +Working with files, +Import and finally Gerber. It allows imports from Kicad, Eagle, ANSI files, etc however none of these will import. 1) In the Main Menu of the PCB Layout editor click on Help and then select ' PCB Layout Help ' in the drop-down menu to open the PCB Layout Help file. I also tried using since you can do schematics, make PCBs, spice the circuit and order PCBs all in one place. Am I missing something during the import, or, do I need to take some post-import steps. I have a drill file so I am getting all of the holes I expect, but they are just holes, no vias. Most of my importing goes as expected, but I am not getting any vias. The gentleman who helped with the PCB had the same issue. New user here with a small job to modify a board starting with some existing gerber files. After the file is scanned and I try to import it says coordinates are out of range and lists what the max is and what this supposedly is.the PCB is 100mmx150mm and the max is 78in so it isn't even close. I am trying to open the files in Eagle gives me an error as well - first error is on the a fill command whatever that means but I believe it isn't THAT big of an issue because it still moves forward. It can be user error or it can be a conflict. I am able to open the files automatically in Gerbview, however the drilling page gives errors as well as other pages and editing the silk screen just seems to not be working. Step 2.Click Export All and save all the layers Step 3.After an export the Gerber files, we need to export the NC Drill files. 2) In the Main Menu click on File, choose Import in the drop-down menu and select Gerber. Import the Gerber drawing figures 1) Launch the PCB Layout editor and make sure the Design Area is completely blank. A friend developed a PCB in Sprint 6 that I would like to edit and make changes to the silk screening prior to ordering PCBs. The DipTrace DXF tool can help you with the target-shaped drawing. I have Kicad and Eagle for schematic and PCB designs and a number of other programs for SPICE simulations. Has anyone tried to export a Gerber file with DipTrace, then re-import it back into DipTrace, then perform DRC I did that and got a ton of DRC violations. My question is whether anyone here has sent Gerber files to ExpressPCB to have boards made.
